Johnstone Supply, Portland, OR, officially topped $1 billion in total yearly sales during the 12-month period ending March 2006. Johnstone Supply has boasted over 16% in averages sales growth over the last three years.

In 2006, the company also celebrated the 25th anniversary of the founding of the cooperative and the opening of Johnstone’s 300th store, located in Everett, WA. The cooperative approved 54 new stores over the past three years, and during that period has seen an average of 18 new stores each year. While Everett marks the 300th official location, an additional seven stores are currently approved. The growth in stores is a result of both independent distributors joining the cooperative and existing members expanding their market coverage with new locations.

A ribbon-cutting event in Everett, WA, honored Johnstone’s 300th store. Attendees included (from left): Jim Adcox, VP of membership; Gary Daniels, president and CEO; Mike Martinson, store owner; Corky Popma, store owner; Greg Popma, store owner and board director; Matt Popma, store owner; and Frank Alexander, chairman of the board.
