Broan-NuTone and the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) announced the winners of the 2006 Best Kitchen Design Competition. A total of $40,000 in cash, scholarships and travel were awarded to professional and student kitchen designers who incorporated proper kitchen ventilation into their designs utilizing the Best by Broan® line.

Category 1 – Wall-Mounted Ventilation: first place: Robin Rigby Fisher and Mingda Liu, second place: Robin Siegerman and Van Hai Nguyen, third place: Mark Thomas White and Rebecca Ruth Stewart.

Category 2 – Island/Peninsula Ventilation: first place: Erica Westeroth and Kent Bartley Taylor, second place: Pamela Goldstein Sanchez.

Category 3 – Custom Design Hood: first place: Cheryl Hamilton-Gray and Sonia Michelle Mayes, second place: David Eric Stimmel and Heidi Lei Weeda, third place: Omid Franco Nonahal and Alison Amanda Routh.
