The Western Suppliers Association (WSA), a regional affiliate of the American Supply Association, has named Don Robertson, an industry veteran of more than 30 years, its executive director. Robertson, former owner and president of Steam & Plumbing Service Corp. in San Francisco, sold the wholesale firm in 2005 to American International Supply Inc., Oakland, CA.

Steam & Plumbing Service Corp. was founded in 1924 by Robertson's grandfather, Arthur Zeitschel. Robertson has been actively involved in ASA over the years, serving as a trustee of the ASA Education Foundation, as chairman of the ASA PAC Board/Government Affairs Council and on the ASA Executive Committee. He served a term as president of WSA in 2006.

In 2007 he was chairman of ASA's Government Affairs Committee and also was on the ASA Education Foundation Board of Trustees.

Sharilyn Christiansen-Hoon of Buttes/Center State Pipe, Sacramento, CA, is the 2007-2008 WSA president. WSA, in partnership with the Pacific Southwest Distributors Association, operates as Region 1 of ASA, the Pacific Western Distributors Association, serving Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
