The PVF Roundtable held its first General Assembly session of 2007 in February at the HESS Club in Houston, drawing 130 attendees. The keynote speaker was Robert Workman, president, Supply Division of National Oilwell/Varco. His topic was the upstream energy sector. He shared energy industry data for the past four years and provided a positive look forward for the next two years.

Seven new members signed up at the meeting.

Ron Merrick, president of The PVF Roundtable, and Sidney Westbrook, president-emeritus of the group, presented Scott Franz, publisher of Supply House Times, with the “Public Relations Service Award.” Joan Adams, Supply House Times’ PVF columnist, was honored with the same award.

The next meeting is May 15 at the same location. Don McNeeley of Chicago Iron & Tube is scheduled to speak about energy and politics.

The PVF Roundtable is an organization of firms involved in the pipe, valves and fittings industry dedicated to the continuing improvement of the quality process in that industry.
