George Morlan Plumbing hosted an invitation-only party/rock concert.

George Morlan Plumbing, Portland, Ore., hosted an invitation-only party/rock concert for about 600 contractors and plumbing materials buyers at its flagship store, the GMP Design Center in northwest Portland, in August. The concert was held in the store's arena, attached to the main showroom. Pictured below, the Mary Kadderly Trio performed jazz and soft rock in the showroom, before the rock show, which featured the band Starship with lead singer Mickey Thomas, performing with singers Bobby Kimball of the rock group Toto, and Alex Ligertwood, formerly of Santana. The family-owned business operates stores and a plumbing service department in southeast and northwest Portland, Bend, Tigard, Salem, Warrenton and Lincoln City, Ore.
