Samuel New died March 5 at his home in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Samuel New, 80, co-founder of Mid-City Supply Co., Elkhart, Ind., died March 5 at his home in Scottsdale, Ariz. He retired from the company in 1985 after 38 years. He also served as secretary-treasurer of Bristol Corp., retiring in 1984. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was active in various community and philanthropic organizations and also served on the board of the North American Heating, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning Wholesalers Association. His son, Jeffrey New, is president of Mid-City Supply. Donations may be made to Sinai Synagogue Fund for the Future or Jewish Federation of St. Joseph Valley.
