A bath fixture design based on the current trends toward retro fashions, especially peasant styles and love beads featuring geometric and floral patterns, was the grand prize winner in Moen's "Accent On Design" contest.

The contest was open to more than 8,000 American Society of Interior Designers students nationwide. Students were invited to design new patterns for Moen's Asceri[R] bath collection of Accent pieces. The company awarded more than $10,000 in products and prizes to four seasonal winners and 40 finalists.

The grand prize winner's design, "Indian Summer" (below), was unveiled at the International Builders Show in January and will be put into retail production. It was created by Elaine Dominguez, who studies at Rhodec International in Quincy, Mass. She also won for her fall and summer designs.
