The U.S. International Trade Commission determined that the U.S. industry is threatened with material injury by imports of non-malleable cast iron pipe fittings from China sold in the U.S. at less than fair value. The March 12 determination was in response to a complaint filed more than a year ago by Anvil International and Ward Manufacturing. All four commissioners voted affirmatively.

As a result, the U.S. Department of Commerce will direct the U.S. Customs Service to impose antidumping duties on the offending products from China. No date was given for this to take effect.
