ITC begins investigation of non-malleable cast iron pipe fittings from China

On Feb. 21, 2002, the ITC gave notice of an investigation of preliminary phase antidumping to determine whether there is reasonable indication that U.S. producers are materially injured, or threatened with material injury, by imports from China of cast iron pipe fittings. It is alleged that pipe fittings from China are being sold in the United States at less than fair value.

The investigation will cover finished and unfinished cast iron pipe fittings including ductile iron fittings with a size range of 1/4" to 6" and does not include cast iron soil pipe fittings or grooved fittings and couplings.
