The Integrated Systems Division of Ferguson Enterprises, Newport News, Va., has started an onsite operation at a company in Morris, Ill. The Integrated Division provides companies with customized maintenance, repair and operation supplies (MRO) and indirect material supply chain integration and inventory management systems.

The Ferguson team in Morris manages the stockroom inventory and fills non-stock requests, and they will soon establish and replenish inventory at several point-of-use locations in the facility. The wholesaler's annual volume at the company's Morris facility is projected to be $2.5 to $3 million.

Prior to the startup, a team of Ferguson associates traveled to Morris to establish network connectivity and set up the inventory infrastructure in the stockroom.

The three-member onsite team includes Mark Kunsa, general manager, who was part of the startup team; Cathy Becher and Ed Hawes. Kunsa began working with Ferguson's GE Aircraft Engines customer in Wilmington, N.C., in 1996 and later moved to Cincinnati as a commodity buyer for several GEAE sites. Becher is relocating from Ferguson's operation in Defiance, Ohio, which services a General Motors Powertrain facility. Hawes was recruited from the Morris area.
