North Central Wholesalers Association’s annual survey reported on 34 wholesale distributors who provided information on their hours for the upcoming holiday season: 25 said they will be open for business Thursday, Dec. 24, most of the day; and nine companies said they would be closed Dec. 24.

Also, 27 wholesalers said they would remain closed Saturday, Dec. 26. Several wholesalers are always closed Saturday. For the New Year’s holiday, 20 of the 34 respondents said they would be closing early on Thursday, Dec. 31, most around noon. A couple of members reported that they will give half of the employees off on Dec. 24 and the other half off on Dec. 31; some members will be closed over the holiday period for inventory.
