The Copper Journal Price & Inventory Chart From The Last Two Decades — September 2009

Spot copper averaged $2.8148 on Comex during September, up 42 points, or 0.1% over $2.8106 in August, but was off 10.4% from $3.1429 last September.

The year-to-date average now stands at $2.1276, down $1.0679, or 29.7% from $3.5938 during the first nine months of 2008.

Copper held in Comex and LME warehouses rose 46,096 MT, or 13.2% during September to a five-month high of 394,316 MT, putting the figure 186,716 MT, or 89.9% over the 207,600 MT held in warehouses last September.
