As Supply House Times went to press just before the Christmas and New Year’s holiday, volunteer leaders of the American Supply Association began to put the finishing touches on arguably the association’s most important initiative ever, tackling three mega issues and providing long-term sustainable solutions to them that will strengthen member companies and as a result the industry in general long-term.
Supply House Times traveled to Lebanon, Tennessee to chat with Lochinvar executives, including Director of Marketing Michael Troka, Program Manager-Product Development Robert Wiseman, Product Program Manager Mike Juhnke and Product Coordinator Jonathan Baggett.
Despite our best intentions, safety professionals focus sharply on compliance. Our attention locks on the hundreds of regulatory pages promulgated by OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc., as we decipher the necessary steps to stay out of trouble.
At the time Stavridis was the commander of U.S. Southern Command (SouthComm) headquartered in Miami with responsibility for planning, operations and security cooperation for Central and South America, and the Caribbean. Areas of focus at the time included narco-terrorism, 21st century gangs, drug trafficking, money laundering and mass migration.
Do you do an annual showroom budget? How about a detailed written marketing plan and budget? Too many folks don’t do many of these aforementioned business basics. In my opinion, this could be the demise of their businesses.

Next month, nearly 90 ASA leaders and volunteers will gather in Southern California to hear solutions presented by the three issue strategic-action teams (ISATs) that were established to develop solutions to the pressing threats impacting our industry and the way our members will need to compete by 2027.
