Supply House Times Publisher Joins Cincinnati Reds In Sarasota
March 1, 2004
Supply House Times publisher Scott Franz played baseball with the Cincinnati Reds at their training facility in Sarasota, Fla., early February. One hundred participants from 10 states started off the week-long Baseball Fantasy Camp with evaluation drills and a scrimmage game. Then each player was drafted by ex-professional players to participate in the camp tournament. Franz played eight games for his team that went on to win the championship. He pitched 27 innings (three wins and two saves) and hit .333 in 24 at-bats.
