J.W. Harris Co. said its Blockade® alloy is the only alloy currently available that meets the specification for BCuP-9, the new category for copper-phosphorus filler metals listed in the American Welding Society's latest revision of the Specification for Filler Metals for Braze and Braze Welding. The new specification creates a classification for copper-phosophorus based alloys that also contain tin and silicon as specific contributing elements of their composition.
