Munters Moisture Control Services designed a model gas/electric integrated system to the Engineers Armory in Philadelphia, which played host to two Republican National Convention events.
The Engineers Armory in Philadelphia played host to two Republican National Convention events sponsored by the American Gas Association: Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott's American Bandstand and America's Energy Texas Barbecue. Unfortunately, the 42,000-sq.-ft. facility, built in 1916, had no HVAC system.
Munters Moisture Control Services, in cooperation with the AGA and the American Gas Cooling Center, designed a model gas/electric integrated system using two Munters desiccant dehumidifiers that were regenerated by natural gas, said Larry Waltemire, regional manager for Munters MCS. The system also included two 90-ton electric air conditioners, gas pipes and ductwork.
