Heat-fab, manufacturer of high-performance products for the hearth and heating industries, celebrated its 25th anniversary by sponsoring a community open house on June 21. Open to the public, the event featured factory tours as well as the NASCAR Busch North Series Car #55, of which Heat-fab is an associate sponsor. Prizes were given away every half hour and special activities were held for children.

Founded in Greenfield, Mass., in 1978 by Lloyd and Millie Green, both of whom are still active in the company, Heat-fab's day-to-day operations are run by their son, Harold Green. He has served as president since 1999. Heat-fab moved to the Turners Falls Industrial Park facility in 1997, and currently employs about 100 people.
