Over the past 100 years, Longley Supply has grown from a one-man heating contracting business to a full-service supply company with 120 employees in nine branches in southeastern North Carolina: Wilmington, Myrtle Beach, New Bern, Jacksonville, Morehead City, Ocean Isle Beach, Fayetteville, Lumberton and Raleigh.
When Longley died in 1951, longtime employee N.A. McKenzie became president. Henry Longley Jr., who was still in school at that time, took over as president in 1962. His daughter Emily was named president of the company in July 2006 and he became chairman.
