Fort Worth, Texas-based MORSCO confirmed to Supply House Times Monday Morrison Supply Co., President Stan Allen is no longer employed by the distributor, which was ranked 13th in the 2016 Supply House Times Premier 150 distributor rankings.
“During his time with MORSCO, Stan made significant contributions to the company and the MORSCO team wishes him the very best in his future endeavors,” MORSCO CEO Chip Hornsby said.
In other recent MORSCO executive-related news, the company named Mike Swedick president of MORSCO’s plumbing division. In addition to his leadership responsibilities in the MORSCO plumbing division, Swedick also will continue to lead the waterworks division at MORSCO.
Swedick joined Fortiline Waterworks, the second-largest American-owned wholesale distributor of underground water, sewer and storm utility products in the United States, in early 2011 where he was named vice president of sales. He was named COO in 2014 and president and CEO in 2015. MORSCO acquired Fortiline in October 2016.

In yet more MORSCO news, Murray Supply, a MORSCO company, will open its second South Carolina branch in Charleston by this month.
The new location at 2509 Clements Ferry Road is about 50,000 square feet and features commercial plumbing, residential plumbing and repair products, mechanical and industrial pipe, valves and fittings, and MRO products for the multi-family housing market.
Murray Supply’s Charleston branch will feature products from A. O. Smith, American Standard, Victaulic, NIBCO, Apollo/Conbraco, Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, Moen, Gerber, Rinnai, GE Appliances, Frigidaire, Kwikset, American Air Filters, Copper Wiring Products, Honeywell and Goodman equipment.
