that Joseph Alvarado, vice president-tubular operations and president of the
company's U. S. Steel Tubular Products subsidiary, retired from the company on
Feb. 28, 2009.

Curtiss-Wright Corp. announced that
it has acquired substantially all of the assets of Nu-Torque, a designer and
manufacturer of electric and hydraulic valve actuation and control devices
primarily for the U.S. Navy ships.
