LaCrosse, Wis.-based First Supply recently held a grand opening for its new Kohler Signature Store by First Supply in the Milwaukee suburb of Wauwatosa, Wis.

This is First Supply’s second Kohler Signature Store. The distributor opened the first KSS in the country in Edina, Minn., in 2012.

The Wauwatosa event drew an overflow crowd to the LEED-certified showroom (a first for First Supply), which is packed with kitchen and bath products from Kohler, Robern, Kohler Surfaces (tile and stone), Kallista, Ann Sacks and Masterbrand Cabinets. The store offers full kitchen and bath design services, including product selection, design development and project assistance. First Supply is the sole owner and operator of the Edina and Wauwatosa locations.

“At the end of the day Kohler and First Supply always are looking for what the consumers and tradespeople want,” First Supply Kitchen and Bath Division COO Katie Poehling told Supply House Times in a video interview at the grand opening. “We are looking for what their expectations are and we strive to meet their expectations even more than they thought we could. We’re always looking to push the needle. The magic in this partnership is we always try to stay one step ahead.”

Wauwatosa marks the 12th KSS store in the U.S., joining the Edina location, Natick, Mass. (Supply New England), Bellevue, Wash. (Keller Supply), Burr Ridge, Ill. (Studio41), Glenview, Ill. (Studio41), Chicago (Studio41), Baltimore (Thos. Somerville), Portland, Ore. (Keller Supply), Burlington, Mass. (Supply New England), St. Louis (Crescent Supply) and Culver City, Calif. (Expressions Home Gallery).

Kohler is slated to open three more KSS locations in 2016. To view video interviews with Poehling and Kohler’s Michelle Kilmer from the grand opening, visit www.supplyht.com/videos.
