Uponor’s listing to UL 1821: Thermoplastic Sprinkler Pipe and Fittings for Fire Protection Service, now approves the use of flexible Uponor AquaPEX tubing and ProPEX expansion fittings in unfinished basements with dimensional lumber, engineered wood, wood I-joists and open-web wood joists (wood floor trusses) in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association 13D standard.
