NIBCO announced the promotion of Ashley Martin to vice president, wholesale sales. She will report to Steve Malm, president and chief operating officer.

Martin began her career at NIBCO in July 2012 as a sales trainee in the Human Resources Sales Training Program where she won the Sales Trainee of the Year Award. Since 2012, she has held the position of director—distribution and transportation, and general manager, PEX, before being promoted to her current role.

Martin has excelled in a variety of leadership positions since beginning her career at NIBCO. In 2013, she co-founded the American Supply Association Women In Industry group alongside Katie Poehling (First Supply). The organization was featured as the Supply House Times March 2014 cover story. In April 2016 she will be the incoming Chairwoman, serving a two-year term. Martin also serves on the American Supply Association Young Executives Board, and is a member of Plastic Pipe Fittings Association.

Graduating with honors from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Ind., Martin obtained her bachelor’s degree in marketing. She also holds a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in strategy and information technology operations management from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Prior to that, Martin spent six months studying at the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark.
