More than 225 Ferguson Enterprises branch locations took part in the company’s nationwide “60 Days of Caring” program, donating almost 20,000 pounds of food to 101 different non-profit organizations in the U.S. These organizations included food banks, youth development programs and animal shelters.

The 60-day drive was held in conjunction with Ferguson’s 60th anniversary celebration and its mission to enhance the communities where employees reside and work.

“Being a good community partner and giving back to the communities where we live and work is an important part of what we do at Ferguson. It’s ingrained in our fabric,” CEO Frank Roach said. “I am personally proud and grateful for each and every one of our associates and the contribution they make to our company and communities.”

Some highlights from the “60 Days of Caring” campaign:

  • Employees at the Richland, Wash., distribution center donated 6,000 pounds of food to the Tri-Cities Food Bank — the largest donation made by any Ferguson location.
  • Ferguson Parts & Packing in City of Industry, Calif, collected more than 2,000 pounds of supplies, which were donated to Families Forward. This group helps families in financial trouble.
  •  At its corporate headquarters in Newport News, Va., and its nearby nine branches, more than 2,000 pounds of food were donated to food banks and animal shelters.
