SWA Past PresidentJohn "Bill" Christiansen Jr., 83, passed away on August 24, 2010. He was the national sales manager for American Standard Co. and founder of Chris - More Inc. headquartered in Memphis, TN. He also served as the president ofSouthern Wholesalers Associationfrom 1982-1983.
After graduating from Shades Cahaba High School, he served in the U.S. Army, Airborne Division. Christiansen was an active member of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church and a member of the Masons.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 27, from 10 to 11 a.m. atRidout's Elmwood Chapelfollowed by a funeral service. The burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
