Hydraulic Institute (HI), the largest association of pump manufacturers and suppliers to the pump industry in North America, and the global authority on pumps and pumping systems, announced its 2010 board of directors and officers during its 93rd Annual Meeting.

TheHydraulic Institute (HI), the largest association of pump manufacturers and suppliers to the pump industry in North America, and the global authority on pumps and pumping systems, announced its 2010 board of directors and officers during its 93rd Annual Meeting recently held on Marco Island, FL.

Dennis Ziegler, president and CEO of GIW Industries Inc., is the newly elected chairman of the board. He previously served as the organization’s president in 2009. Taking his place is Ken Napolitano, president of ITT Residential & Commercial Water, who served as vice president of Knowledge & Education in 2009.

The new board also includes three vice presidents: Dave McKinstry, vice president, IMO Pump, was re-elected to serve as vice president of technical affairs; Dean Douglas, president, Dover Pump Solutions Group will serve as vice president, Member Services; Jim Swetye, regional training manager, Grundfos Pumps USA, is the new vice president, Knowledge & Education.

Additional Board members include:

    Past Presidents of the Hydraulic Institute, Al Huber, president, Paterson Pump Co. and John Miersma, vice president, CFO and COO of Iwaki America Inc. will continue active participation in the organization as ex-officio members of the board.
