A.O. Smith Water Products Co. recently appointed new executives.

A.O. Smith Water Products Co. appointed David R. Warren vice president-international and a member of the company’s leadership team.

Also, Ton van der Hamsvoort was named general manager of its Veldhoven, the Netherlands, operation, and David Hammond became general manager of the company’s Canadian water heater operations.

In his new position, Warren will have responsibility for the company’s operations in the Netherlands, Canada, and all international export business out of North America and Europe.  He will also continue with his work on the launch of the company's new water heater business in India. 

Warren has been managing director-international since May 2007, responsible for all international sales outside North America and China, an assignment he held in addition to his role as managing director of the company’s Veldhoven operation. Warren was named managing director of Veldhoven, which manufactures and markets water heaters for the European and Middle Eastern markets, in July 2004.

Van der Hamsvoort joined A.O. Smith’s Veldhoven operation in 1993 as a project engineer and was promoted to production and engineering manager. Since April 2006, he has held the position of general sales and marketing manager responsible for water heater sales in Europe.

As general manager of the Canadian water heater business, Hammond is responsible for the Fergus plant, the Stratford, Ontario, warehouse and Canadian water heater customer service groups. 

Hammond was director of marketing and new product technology for A.O. Smith’s Canadian water heater operations prior to his new assignment.
