Recognition Program Identifies Industry Partners

In an effort to highlight the contributions of industry vendors to the success of the association and the advancement of the PHCP/PVF industry, ASA’s Vendor Member Division (VMD) Executive Council recently approved theAmerican Supply Association Premier Vendor Program. This recognition program will identify industry vendors that make a significant impact on the association and overall industry by their level of participation in seven different categories.

“The concept behind this program comes from the fact that for many years, dedicated vendors have enabled ASA to go beyond the status quo in providing services to the industry,” stated Mike Adelizzi, executive vice president for ASA.  “All too often this support has not received the recognition that is so deserved.  The impact ASA has had on industry education and advocacy would not have been possible without these very important partners.”

Vendors will be assigned a “Diamond Level,” earning one diamond up to a maximum of five for each of the following:

  • Membership in ASA
  • Recruiting a new ASA member
  • Participating on an ASA Committee and/or Board
  • Exhibiting at the ASA Annual Convention
  • Sponsoring an ASA event
  • Donating to the Karl E. Neupert Endowment Fund
  • Participating in an ASA Regional Convention

“Achieving recognition for contributions to your industry is a great way to compare how your company performs compared to others, especially when the playing field is leveled by using categories where sales, products or marketing isn’t a factor,” shared Robert Vick, Vice President, Business Development of Legend Valve & Fitting and Chairman of the VMD. “Every company can help build the industry, and we applaud ASA for launching a program to recognize those that do. “

ASA has also established a Vendor of the Year Award, which will recognize the outstanding contribution of the few that rise above and beyond in their support toward advancing the industry.  This will be presented for the first time at the 2009 ASA Annual Convention.
