John A. Chernak, who served as president of Tomlinson Industries from 1966 through 1994, died Jan. 22. He had joined the company in 1957. He became chairman of Tomlinson in 1995, and from 1996 until his retirement in December 2003 he was a senior “special” advisor to the company. He was an active member of the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers and received awards related to his activities in the commercial foodservice equipment field.
