Howard Neustadt, 88, co-founder of Neuco Inc., died June 3. He devoted his life to making the company into a leading master distributor of HVACR controls. The “Neustadt Tradition” involved a strong-minded work ethic and service levels beyond expectations. His father, John Neustadt, founded the business in Chicago 100 years ago as  Neustadt Coal, Hay & Grain.

The company is currently owned by Howard’s nephew, William Neustadt, and two of Howard’s sons, Paul and Jon Neustadt. He will be remembered as an industry leader and a family man, the company said.
