Honor will be presented at Network’07.

The ASA Executive Committee is pleased to announce Frank Finkel, President of Davis & Warshow in Maspeth, NY, has been selected to receive the honor of the Fred V. Keenan Lifetime Achievement Award.

In addition to his years of serving as a volunteer leader of ASA on a regional and national level, including holding every position on ASA’s Executive Committee and serving as ASA President in 1990, Mr. Finkel has made enormous contributions to the PHCP/PVF industry throughout his career.

“Frank Finkel has been actively giving back to our industry for over 30 years,” states Joel Becker of Torrington Supply Co., ASA President. “He continues to be one of the first to volunteer, even before he’s asked. He has been involved on technology and education task forces in recent years, and now serves as a member of the ASA Education Foundation Board of Trustees. Seventeen years after his ASA presidency and supposed retirement from association work, he will be back again on ASA’s Executive Committee as President of the ASA Education Foundation. Frank continues to serve all of us by sharing his experience, business acumen, and intellect. The Fred V. Keenan Award is a fitting recognition of his long career and generous spirit,” concludes Becker.

The award will be presented to Mr. Finkel during the ASA Member Luncheon on Tuesday, October 25, 2007 at the Network’07 in Anaheim, California.

The Fred V. Keenan Lifetime Achievement Award honors an individual’s contributions to, and achievements in, the PHCP industry. It is named for its first recipient, Fred V. Keenan of Keenan Supply/Hajoca Corp. Past recipients include John Martin of Anvil International, John McDonald III of Brock-McVey Co., Edward J. Felten of First Supply, and a posthumous honor to Karl E. Neupert of Consolidated Supply Co.

This award is not an annual award, but is given at the discretion of ASA’s Executive Committee, which reviews nominations made from within the PHCP/PVF industry.
