Taco Inc. completed a major upgrade to its indoor comfort system at its main facility in Cranston, RI. The $3.5 million co-generation heat/air conditioning system is the biggest investment the company has made in revamping its facility since 1950. The heat is provided by new Burnham boilers, and a new air conditioning system is managed by Carrier Corp. Local electric utility National Grid is providing Taco with a $200,000 electrical rebate for one year based on the new co-generation system and its anticipated energy consumption savings.
