Gem Plumbing & Heating, a contracting firm based in Lincoln, R.I., was honored by AirTime500® as its Training Company of the Year during its expo in Anaheim, Calif., in March. AirTime500 is an organization for residential HVAC contractors in North America that provides its members with training and business development assistance. Gem has organized its employee training through Gem University, an in-house training center that provides weekly technical and professional training to its 300 employees.
