Jacksonville, Fla.-based Interline Brands, a national distributor and direct marketer of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) products, said in July it had acquired Copperfield (CCS Enterprises), Fairfield, Iowa, a national distributor and direct marketer of specialty ventilation and chimney maintenance products.
Copperfield's annual sales for the fiscal year ended November 2004 were $41 million, Interline Brands reported. Interline said it expects the $70 million acquisition to be accretive to its earnings in 2005.
Copperfield operates six distribution centers throughout the United States, with more than 125 associates. The Copperfield management team will join Interline Brands.
