Albert R. Levingston, 83, retired secretary of LCR Corp. (forerunner of wholesale firm LCR-M, Baton Rouge, La., sister company to Hajoca), died June 26 at his home in Baton Rouge, La., after a short illness. His father, Sam Levingston, was one of the original partners of the business. Al Levingston joined the company after serving in the U.S. Army during both World War II and the Korean conflict. He spent 32 years at LCR in various positions including office manager, credit manager, purchasing director and inside sales. He served as corporate secretary and personnel manager for the 15 years before he retired in January 1987. After his retirement, he continued to visit the administrative office monthly to reconcile accounts payable vouchers. He remained spry and cheerful until his recent illness, the company said. Survivors include his wife, Mary; children Rebecca Woodman and Dale Levingston; a sister, grandson and great grandchildren.
