R & R Plumbing Supply Corp., based in Worcester, Mass., is celebrating its 100th anniversary. The company was started in 1905 by Samuel Ritz as an installation plumbing contractor. When Henry Ritz, the second generation, took over in 1937, the wholesaler became a preferred supplier to many building projects throughout New England, including large schools, colleges, and commercial buildings. During this time Henry Ritz's wife, Roslyn, served as clerk and his brother-in-law, Jerry Treister, was vice president.

Jesse Ritz is the third generation owner and president of the company, affectionately known as “The R&R.” He and Bob Barry, vice president and general manager, built the company's 38,000-sq.-ft. location with a showroom, training facility, counter pick-up area, overhead cranes and cantilever racking.

R & R's counter sales, inside sales and key management personnel spend a day a week calling on contractor, commercial and industrial accounts. The company's 18 employees have average industry experience of 18 years.

The company's official sign includes a dripping faucet.
