Ferguson announced the appointment of Michael L. Grunkemeyer to director of business development for Wolseley plc, based in the United Kingdom. Grunkemeyer's office will remain at Ferguson headquarters in Newport News, Va. Grunkemeyer joined Ferguson in 1983. He was named senior vice president/business development, including marketing and sourcing, in 1995. In 2002 his role was expanded to include the commercial and industrial/PVF business group.
In other news, John Stegeman was named vice president/waterworks. He joined Ferguson as a management trainee in 1985. He had been waterworks business group manager since 2002. He has received three President's Awards for Achievement for the years 1998-1999, 1999-2000 and 2000-2001.
