Duravit teamed up with architect and designer Philippe Starck in 1994 to create innovative bathroom fixtures that advance modernism and privacy. The manufacturer challenged the designer to create high-functioning products with global appeal at an affordable price.

In celebration of this 10-year relationship, Starck has revamped the vanity base from the Starck 1 series of 1994, which resembled a wooden cask, with a new face: a rich, dark brown, Macassar ebony veneer.

The design of the products in the Starck 1 series of bath furnishings and fixtures evokes images of primal water tools such as the bucket, the old-fashioned hand pump and nail. For more information, visit www.duravit.us.
