In keeping with its new tagline - "Solutions. Supply. Service." - Hughes Supply (Orlando, Fla.) has introduced HughesPlus, a program that enables its customers to take advantage of group-buying benefits from featured partners to save money on certain business functions and services.

Current partners in the program include WorldCom for communication, Gateway computer systems, Enterprise Fleet Services, MBNA credit card services, Lanier Worldwide office equipment, ADP, Vending Management Services, World-Wide Travel Network and Cintas. Further expansion of the program is being considered. Additional benefits under review include insurance, office supplies, shipping and training and management programs.

"We are offering a variety of solutions to our customers that are not necessarily directly related to Hughes," said Tom Starnes, senior vice president/sales and marketing. "We are using our buying power to help them get a better deal."
