Emerson has renamed its Westinghouse Process Control unit as the Power & Water Solutions division of Emerson Process Management. The Pittsburgh-based division provides advanced automation, process control and IT services to power plants and water and waste treatment facilities. Emerson acquired Westinghouse Process Control from CBS Inc., in 1997.

The new unit also announced it has been awarded contracts valued at more than $40 million to upgrade the process control technology at water and wastewater treatment facilities serving the Washington, D.C. and Chicago metropolitan areas.
