In an effort to find out what distributors think, the Northamerican Heating, Refrigeration and Airconditioning Wholesalers Association (NHRAW) supplied questionnaires to its member distributors to ascertain thoughts on ways to benefit the work relationship between reps and distributors. Seventy-five NHRAW member companies took advantage of the opportunity, providing feedback for the association. "Quick follow-up" was rated as the most important task provided by a rep, according to the survey. Distributors rated that reps maintain factory-distributor communication and taking care of defective/warranty items a close second. The distributors also said that they feel reps can improve their service and value by providing training for distributor employees and contractors. Further results from the survey during the Monday afternoon session at NHRAW's conference, being held at the Orlando World Center Marriott on Dec. 8-11.
