iPower Logistics LLC and MRO Software have reached a strategic agreement to integrate MRO Software's supply-side group of hosted solutions with iPower's current business application systems.

The alliance will streamline communications between iPower's network of 175 industrial distributors and their customers by consolidating catalog information, increasing efficiency and reducing inventory and procurement costs.

"Through this alliance, iPower is reinforcing its commitment to our independent distributors and the key role they play in the industrial supply chain," said J.D. Sullivan Jr., CEO of iPower.

iPower will use mroDistributor and mroConnect to aggregate and publish information from participating network distributors. The alliance allows these distributors to transact e-business over the Internet and offer enhanced productivity for their customers, Sullivan said.

The agreement also provides MRO Software's MAXIMO Extended Enterprise users with a fully integrated industrial MRO supply source.

iPower, the parent company of iPower Distribution Group Inc. and iPower Distribution Group LLC, is a provider of supply chain and integrated supply technology, national marketing programs and services for distributors and manufacturers. MRO Software is a solutions provider for streamlining the MRO supply chain.
