The Flushmate division of Sloan Valve Co. received an award for outstanding service to the advancement of plumbing engineering technology from the American Society of Plumbing Engineers. The award is presented every two years to the company that best promotes the advancement of the plumbing industry.

Flushmate uses water supply line pressure to eliminate clogging, double flushing and provide drainline carry, unlike traditional gravity-fed designs which rely on siphon action. Current toilet manufacturers using Flushmate technology include American Standard, Crane Plumbing, Gerber, Kohler, Mansfield, St. Thomas Creations and Universal Rundle in the United States; Crane Canada; Mancesa in South America and HCG in Asia.

Sloan Flushmate, producer of pressurized flushing devices, manufactures Flushmate operating systems.
