The University of Wisconsin-Madison, Department of Engineering Professional Development, will offer the course Process Piping Systems Design and Operation, March 10-14, 2003, in Madison, Wis.

Major emphasis will be on pharmaceutical, food processing, biomedical, and other industries requiring clean piping systems. The course will cover:

  • CIP (cleaned in place) and WFT (water for injection) systems, along with fluids other than clear water;
  • Stainless steel, plastic and other special process piping;
  • Process pumps and their selection;
  • Flow measuring devices, control valves and industrial filters.
