Air filtration manufacturer Farr Co. announced that it has formed a new HVAC High Performance Products Business Unit to consolidate and expand the company's activities in the cleanroom, HEPA, carbon/gas absorption, custom OEM and containment systems filtration areas.

"In many applications today, air filtration has progressed from a commodity business to a high technology, solutions-driven industry," said Richard C. Larson, recently appointed as Farr's executive vice president/sales and marketing. "We have formed this business unit to focus more closely on customers who need advanced filtration products combined with problem-solving capabilities."

Heading up the new unit is Mark Huza. As business unit manager, Huza will oversee all aspects of sales, marketing, customer service, engineering and product development. Most recently, Huza was vice president at Airia Technologies for five years. Prior to that, he spent 17 years with Circul-Aire, a Canadian company specializing in HVAC and containment system filtration. He also spent two years managing Full Circle Protection, which he founded.

In related news, Danja McMillan is the new western regional sales manager for the HVAC business unit. She rejoins Farr after two and a half years with Honeywell as its western regional sales manager for the Air Products Division. Prior to that, she spent eight years with Farr as a sales rep for the Phoenix office as well as a product coordinator for the HVAC group.

Along with overseeing sales activities in 11 western states and Oklahoma, McMillan will conduct indoor air quality and air filtration seminars and contractor training.
