Meek M. Walker, 76, who recently retired as In-Sink-Erator's district sales manager for metro Detroit, died Nov. 10. He was a long-time member of the former Michigan Association of Distributors and was honored as its “Rep of the Year” in 1987. He joined In-Sink-Erator in 1968, covering Michigan and northern Ohio. Walker participated in many local and state organizations and over the years received a number of awards from them, including a mink toilet seat, a bronze statue, a golden wrench plaque and a lifetime achievement award. He was a charter member of the Southeastern Home Builders Association. Memorials may be made to Angela Hospice, 14100 Newburgh Road, Livonia, MI 48154.
