Designers, architects and builders were invited to Genz-Ryan's new Design Studio in the Minneapolis area for a special event co-hosted by Kohler Co. and contracting firm Genz-Ryan, a family-owned business that specializes in heating, plumbing, cooling and air quality.

Kohler sent Ulrich Koberstein, group director of culinary arts, and Ryan Anderson, executive sous chef, both from The American Club, Kohler, WI, to perform cooking demonstrations at the Design Studio during the event. Also, Jane Haugen Ohlson of Minneapolis/St. Paul magazine, discussed product trends in a presentation to the group.

The Design Studio, a full-service interactive kitchen, bath and HVAC studio, displays multiple kitchen and bath product lines, including St. Thomas Creations, Grohe, Kohler, Decolav, Moen and Delta, among others, as well as Lennox and Honeywell heating and cooling lines and Uponor radiant heating systems.

Ulrich Koberstein, group director, culinary arts, and Ryan Anderson, executive sous chef, both of the American Club in Kohler, WI, performed cooking demonstrations.
In addition to its extensive product selection, Genz-Ryan provides installation and on-site follow-up. Its design consultants will visit the customer's home to ensure the installation is done to specifications and to provide troubleshooting and maintenance information.

The company was founded in 1950 by Louis Genz and his wife, Greta, and John (Jack) Ryan and his mother, Rose Ryan. In 1997 Jack and Margie Ryan's sons, Dan, Mike, Bob and Jon, assumed leadership of the company.
