Blackman Plumbing Supply recently launched its summer issue of Blackman at Home magazine at the company’s Southampton, N.Y. showroom during a recent evening reception attended by more than 150 guests. Attendees were entertained with music, food and cocktails.

Focusing on themes such as top trends and timeless style, the Designer Issue of Blackman at Home includes features about outdoor entertaining, interviews with some of the country’s top interior designers and artists, an overview of new construction homes in The Fields at Southampton and other topics relating to the design world.

“The success of Blackman at Home magazine truly is a ground-breaking achievement in our industry,” said David Lyon, vice president retail for Blackman Plumbing Supply. “Our vision was to create something totally different using an editorial approach which would resonate with customers near our locations in Manhattan, Long Island, Southampton, New Jersey and West Palm Beach. The Designer Issue represents a huge success for us and we are thrilled with the response we received from all the guests who attended the magazine’s launch party, many of whom also were featured in its pages. Now that this interesting and visually exciting issue completed, we are looking forward to an even bigger edition next time around.”

Among the attendees at the magazine’s launch party were Brooklyn-based glass tile artist Allison Eden; East End interior designers including Greg McKenzie, Amy Hill, Laura Michaels and Ondine Karady; New York interior designer Sarah Mendel; and celebrity chef Rossella Rago, all of whom were profiled in the Designer Issue. Also attending were industry professionals, artists, public relations specialists and manufacturers representatives. Party-goers browsed through the expansive showroom’s displays of stylish bath fixtures, glittering chandeliers and unique tile work, as well as Blackman’s outdoor kitchen area complete with everything the warm-weather chef needs for entertaining.

“We were proud to give the Designer Issue a great sendoff in our Southampton showroom,” Lyon said. “It was a memorable night for everyone in attendance and an honor for all of us at Blackman to receive such an amazing amount of support for our sensational new magazine.”
